Privacy Policy

Shandaar Sale (“the app”) is published by Dhondooo. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what your choices are.
The short version
- No account is required. We never ask for your name, email, phone number or payment details.
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- The only identifier we store is a push notification token, and only while you have notifications switched on.
- We collect crash reports so we can fix what breaks. They contain no offer content and no identifiers.
What we collect
Push notification token
If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging issues your installation a token — a random identifier that lets us deliver a notification to your device. We store it on our own server together with your notification preferences.
- Why: so we can tell you about new sales, and so that turning a category off actually stops those notifications.
- What it is not: it is not tied to your identity, and it changes if you reinstall the app or clear its data.
- Retention: kept until you turn notifications off, uninstall the app, or the token stops working. Tokens that Firebase reports as no longer valid are deactivated automatically.
Notification preferences
Whether notifications are on, and whether you want sales and deals alerts. Stored against the token above.
Crash and error diagnostics
When the app crashes or hits an error, we send a diagnostic report to Sentry so we can find and fix it.
- What it contains: the error and its stack trace, the app version, the device model and OS version, and a short trail of which screens you visited beforehand.
- What it does not contain: your push token, which is stripped before the report is sent; the text of any offer; and any console output from the app.
- Why: so a crash gets fixed rather than going unnoticed.
- Retention: 90 days, Sentry’s default.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising identifier, browsing history outside the app, or any usage analytics.
Notifications
You can turn notifications off entirely, or per category, in the app under Settings → Notifications. You can also revoke permission in your device’s system settings. Turning the main switch off stops all notifications from us.
Offer content and links to other sites
The app shows retail promotions published by shops, brands and deal listings in Pakistan. That content — including titles, descriptions, prices and images — belongs to whoever published it, and we display it so you can find offers in one place.
Tapping Go To Sale opens the retailer’s own website, in your browser or their app. Once you leave Shandaar Sale, that site’s privacy policy applies, not this one. We have no control over what they collect.
We make no promise that any offer is current, correctly priced, or still available. Always check on the retailer’s own site before relying on it.
If you own content shown in the app and want it removed, email us at the address below and we will take it down.
Service providers
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers notifications. Receives your push token. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Supabase — hosts our database, including the offer catalogue and stored push tokens.
- Sentry — receives crash and error diagnostics. See Sentry’s privacy policy.
- Deno Deploy — runs our API.
- Cloudflare — serves this page.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Your rights
To have your push token and preferences deleted, either turn notifications off in the app, uninstall it, or email us and we will remove them. Crash reports are not linked to you and expire on their own after 90 days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app.
